my run down:

my first trip was the hot dogs and glass cleaner and dish tabs. it came to be $1.21+tax I think it was like a 95% savings. I have lost the receipt.

Now on to my chinet I am sad I paid anything for this order because I had a $5 of $ 50 competitor coupon I could of used and did not have it with me :( I paid $2.56 before tax My husband was with me so he had to have chips and hot dog buns for the hot dogs I bought. he wanted to grill out That is why my total is so high. But super was awesome so thank you baby!

its not that I get mad he wants stuff but when I am getting 54+ dollars worth of free stuff it's just you want your total to be Zero not $2.56, but its all more than good. Oh he had his own order too I have no clue as to how much it was but it came out of his weekly spending money so I don't mind. wanna know what he got? Ice cream and my mothers day gift a coupon Holder I wanted.:) my husband rocks! Total saved 96%

I made bread and it was actually good!

Yes you heard right I made bread today. It took 3 hours but it was easy. I had tried to bake bread in my bread machine before and it turned out very dense and that was the basic recipe for my bread machine so I never tied again (that and I found out how to make yummy yeast rolls ) So for my new counting pennies I decided to try to bake my own bread, yes it worked but I see us eating this warm with supper or buy its self not like toast or a sandwich. I am still going to have to buy that kind of bread, and make this kind (my husband has already requested it for tomorrow that is how good it was. As you can see we ate half right away. Here is the recipe.

Do you squint at you computer screen?

Do you squint at you computer screen? I do and I only realize it every now and again. Well today my eyes were really bothering me so I googled Computer squinting and what you can do to stop it. I came up with this website here, it has already helped me I am sitting up straight instead of leaning in to my monitor. So go check it out if you have trouble with squinting, and see if it can help you. I was thinking I was going to have to get glasses, so just a Little research saved me at the very least the cost of an eye exam! That's cheap to me! I just love counting my pennies.

Publix just paid some tax

I only paid $1.84 in tax!! I even have $2.60 in coupon that they could not scan because my total was A big Zero!!saved $61.23 I did get to use a $5 off $25 competitor coupon I don't usually use I figure they would turn me down so I just ask and they said yes!! Total saved 97% The $1.84 was on a gift card I am so counting my pennies tonight.

I did go to publix this morning while I was out getting my printer yes it actually finly came. Just picked up 4 danimals 2 $0.25 ears of corn 1 $0.89 lb of carrots and a loaf of bread for $1.17 cost me $5.15 on my gift card that was so high to me I just cant figure it out oh well I am tired & off to bed.

Monday- Hamburger helper (Instead of 1lb Burger I put 1/2 a lb and a lot of rice) Corn, and Baked seasoned fries

Tuesday- mac & cheese With the other half pound of hamburger With broccoli with cheese

Wednesday- home made chicken and dumplings with Au Gratin potatoes

Thursday- using some of the chicken from Wednesday to make chicken and dressing

Friday - Breakfast for supper pancakes & Bacon, eggs & Toast

Saturday- grilled steak and potatoes, corn on the cob

Sunday- is vegetarian night I am thinking alfedo

Ok I tried lol but after Monday my menu plan went out the window

Tuesday we did have mac and cheese but it was homemade with chicken instead of beef and Wednesday I did make chicken and dumpling's but no Au Gratin (poor hubby) and Thursday we grilled hot dogs lol I will try harder next week.

I went shopping!!!

OK at publix I spent $0.93 on a gift card! It would have been $25.39 with out sales and coupons! A savings of 96% !!! Ok then I went to Walgreen's and spent $2.12 oop but with out sales and coupons it would have been $17.83 I saved 88%! Then on to CVS I spent $1.93 on a gift card and $3.37 out of pocket but with out sales and coupons it would have been $47.82 a savings of 90% I also have $3.00 in ECB's to use next time and $6.50 in RR for the next time I go to Walgreen's. So with $5.49 OOP I think I did great That up their would have cost me $94.41 without sales and coupons 94% savings ya!! I am counting my pennies!

Buy $10 worth of stuff before coupons and you can get Publix half gallon of tea! Not available in FL. I'm hoping my store has something different, something more useful for my new quest for thriftiness.

my printer I bought 2 weeks ago still waitng

This is the printer I was talking about here. For $29 its a great deal for me, hope I like it after waiting all this time for free site to store shipping. Next time I will pay the $5 lol I miss my printer. But this one has a scanner its one of them all in ones what ever that means I just looked at the price the reviews and clicked buy now! I was told I would get a email when it was ready for pick up, so I check my email tonight and guess what their it is the email I have been waiting for Or is it? nope just an email to tell me that it wasn't the email I was waiting for but if I would be so kind as to wait 2-3 more day's I would get the real email. lol

I have 5 of these $1.00 off Q's and I bought 3 right guard power stripe last week at cvs for $1.12 each. so for my new counting my pennies I am going to take them back and re buy them with my coupons not free like walgreens but at $0.12 not bad.

My wet saturday

Went to publix this morning, no picture. I just returned my danimals, and with that money I turned around and bought some more And some butter, used a $0.75 Q and a free coupon so I paid under a dollar for $6 worth of butter also some free sour cream. My poor poor husband ask me to get him a mountain dew, I knew that was not going to happen, a 20oz at publix cost $1.39 and a 2lt cost $1.50, so I got him another $0.50 publix 2lt coke. my total was $1.68 + tax =$2.37 And still have $0.48 on my gift card form the danimals :) saved a total of 83%

Also went to a couple of yard sales this morning it was raining so I only stoped at two. Did not see much but did get 4 books for a dollar one of the books is worth a lil money I am hoping I can get $20.00 for it on ebay that would be sweet. Another of the books Is Commonly misspelled words I thought I really needed that one for this blog, the other to is just to read to the boys. I also got a candle holder for a buck for my coffee table I will not be putting a candle in it, its just to collect lil stuff in.

I cleaned a lil house this morning while my son made art work for my walls lol, but then I found the charger(after looking for it for six weeks took me al of 2 seconds to find it lol) for his game boy as you can see!! He was like do what??? lol And that Is my counting pennies Saturday! Ill come back and post what I sold the book for. I see profit.

my publix trip

Just got back from a great trip to my favorite store Publix. My total was $6.88 I saved $26..74 thats 80% the Kashi was $0.19 each and the Danimals were $0.24 Each. I will have to take back 2 of the Danimals they are out of date :( but, I am glad I looked! Oh ya my loving husband has agreed to Quit drinking coke with me so this will be are last coke at $0.50 I just had to get one more.

Also they were out of the Schick razors so I got a rain check. I have more kashi and Danimals coupons but want to wait till Sunday and Monday for the penny Item. Last Sunday was the 6pk water and I had used all my coupons so I could only get a few. I guess I know better this week. I am just always afraid they will be out of what I need by then and I forget rain checks more than I remember them. but with my new counting pennies I will have to remember to get them when ever I can. That way if their is a bad sale week I can go shopping with my rain checks.

My wags trip 4/27/09

I had 5 Nivea coupons and I love Rembrandt so I went all out at wags this week on the free after RR things. I did 9 or so transactions at 2 different stores 7 at the first store each one cost me under $2.00 but I have all of this and $19.50 in RR, so I think I did great. My only regret was they were out of the Rembrandt mouth wash I wanted.

For my new counting my pennies, I Will have to learn how to roll my RR's better than I did. I look at some blogers and they spend pennies where as I spend dollars at wag's. Before my penny counting began I just excepted wag's had me beat, but now its either learn or don't go. I just have to try a lot harder is all and Ill be fine.

May 1st, day one of counting my pennies

I have had this blog scents October, and sad to say I have not done anything with it. yesterday I saw a blog that had a money saving challenge, wanna see it go here, to frugal makes cents. well call me inspired this could not have come at a better time for my family. I need this we need this. I already save thousands using coupons to feed my family, but what I am interested in is how much I can save on everything else and how is my husband gonna take it, god bless him, he is a trooper.

One thing I have been doing is saving on electricity, my husband wants the air on when he gets home from working in a hot warehouse, I am so with him on that one. So what I do is go all day with just my fans on and windows open as long as its not 90 degrees or nothing like that, then I turn it on a little bit before he gets home. Ill cut it off If we leave for a long period of time, then Ill cut it off after he go's to bed. So that is one thing I am doing to keep my bill lower And he never knows the difference:)

Another thing I do is just make sure all the lights, TV and things are off when not in use.
I think this saves us more than anything else we could do. I feel better knowing I am not being wasteful of what I have. And lord I am grateful.
